Master's Degree in Big Data Technologies and Advanced Analytics (MBD)

The Master in Big Data Technologies and Advanced Analytics of ICAI (Universidad Pontificia Comillas) is the response to the new business reality. Thus, the aim of this master is to train professionals who will lead this new stage.

Companies need profiles with a global vision of Big Data, combining the technical aspects (Data Engineer) with deep and rigorous knowledge of Data Mining and Machine Learning (Data Scientist) techniques and with the application of these two points to the business successfully (Business Analyst).

One of the most important strengths of the ICAI Big Data Master is that it guarantees practical training by involving a group of collaborating companies in which the students will develop a real Big Data project throughout the course that will constitute their Master Thesis.

This close collaboration with the world of business, along with first-class business practices, guarantees a rigorous, qualitative and eminently practical training that will train professionals highly prepared for this exciting future.

Tuition fees (2018/2019):
€12,250 for the whole Master (one year). There is a 10% discount for Comillas student that join the Master program.

Available paid internships at partner companies.

Schedule:
For this program, full time commitment is highly recommended. Classes are taught in the afternoon, from Monday to Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm and on friday from 3 pm to 5 pm.

Admission process:
The application should be submitted fully in time established with all documentation required.
The admission is subject of the Admission Committee. The Committee will study the application and communicate its decision and the corresponding enrolment deadline, when applicable, by email and post. There is no special admission test, however the committee can, depending on the candidate study background, set up training supplements.

Admission criteria:
The student's academic background (80%), recommendation letters, cover letter and personal interview (10%) and command of the English language (10%) will all be taken into account.

Students profile:
Graduates in Industrial Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Sciences or Physical Sciences, with an excellent academic record and with previous programming knowledge in at least one of the programming languages (Matlab, C / C ++, Java , R, Python, ...). Minimum level of English B2 is also required.The selection process icludes a personal inteview.
